Originally from Swindon, I studied graphic design at Swindon College of Art and Design. After working as a finished artist for an advertising agency I left to have my son Max.

In the early 1990’s I returned to work after 5 years of being a full-time mother. I had a change of direction and decided to study accountancy.

I then spent 3 years living in London, where I worked in the accounts department for a large firm of solicitors, before moving to Devon, where I ran the accounts for a PR company.

While living in Devon, I took a couple of years out to renovate a property and learn upholstery - furniture has always been a passion of mine. I still occasionally reupholster a chair when I have any spare time, which is rare as Max has provided me with 6 grandchildren.

After relocating back to the area, I joined the accounts team at Bevirs in May 2016.
