Promotion Agreements and Building Licences


The first part of the process is establishing a clearly defined and appropriate relationship between the landowner and the developer or promoter. This requires a properly negotiated agreement setting out the rights and obligations of the parties and the timescales involved.

In such agreements we bear in mind that planning permission should give the landowner an appropriate price for his land and give the developer an appropriate return on his investment.
